Due to imminent needs for enhancing disease surveillance and rapid response capacity to outbreaks of disease in Mongolia, Ministry of Health has initiated FETP in Mongolia with kind support from WHO on 9 October 2009. Before commencement of the programme, there have been a lot of preparation works and related activities for training. 5 Photos The very first cohort of Mongolian FETP officially started on Monday, 12 October 2009 with 8 trainees from various health organizations of Mongolia. They were selected from 45 applicants based on their merit of experience, knowledge and English language skill. 12 Photos The second cohort of Mongolian FETP officially started on Monday, 1 November 2010 with 10 trainees from various healthcare organizations of Mongolia such as family clinic, inspection agency, maternity hospital etc. During 1 year of their training, they were able to conduct many outbreak investigations, operational research, surveillance projects and risk assessments. 55 Photos
